CASE FOUR: BITTER PILL - WALKTHROUGH

Are you new to CSI: The Experience? Confused about a particular topic? Or just plain stuck?


This short walkthrough explains the basics on how to play the game. You can read it through without spoiling the story, but if you just can't crack the case, click on the hint buttons to get help.

Getting to Know the Game

  • In each room, you can talk with a character by clicking on him or her.
  • Explore a room by moving the mouse around and finding interactive objects to click on.
  • Before leaving a location, click on the CSI agent again to check if you are finished there.

Catherine's Office

  • Click on Catherine to have a conversation with her.
  • Pick up the camera, fire scene tool kit, and smartphone on the desk.

Crime Scene (first visit)

  • Talk to the neighbor.
  • There is one peace of evidence in the front yard.
  • Pick up the box of matches on the walkway.
  • Enter the house.
  • There are three clickable objects in the living room.
  • Beer bottles
  • Space heater
  • Wallet
  • Use the camera to take five pictures of the fire scene.
  • Window
  • V-shaped pattern above the space heater.
  • Burned plug of the space heater.
  • Puddle-shaped burn pattern in front of the space heater.
  • Floor area on the left where the wood flooring is lighter
  • Use the fire scene kit to collect samples of the wood flooring.
  • Pick up the fire scene tool kit and click on the puddle-shaped burn pattern in front of the space heater.

CSI Headquarters, Lab (first visit)

There are four pieces of evidence to be analyzed. Click and then drag the evidence to an appropriate station (when the evidence glows yellow, it means you can analyze that evidence there) and follow the instructions to complete the analysis.

  • Drag the matches to the fingerprint station.
  • Drag the space heater to the light table.
  • Drag the photos to the computer.
  • Drag the flooring sample to the gas chromatograph.

Neighbor's house

  • Talk to the neighbor and confront him with the fingerprint evidence.
  • Click him once to start the conversation. After finishing the first conversation, select the matches from your evidence collection and drag them over to him to start the second part of the dialogue.

CSI Headquarters, Morgue

  • Talk to Dr. Robbins.
  • Click on the body to start the autopsy.

CSI Headquarters, Lab (second visit)

The blood sample you have received in the morgue can be analyzed at three different stations. Click and then drag the evidence to an appropriate station (when the evidence glows yellow, it means you can analyze that evidence there) and follow the instructions to complete the analysis.

  • Use the ELISA station to screen for drugs.
  • Use the gas chromatograph to test for alcohol or drugs (after doing the ELISA).
  • Use the spectrophotometer to test for carboxyhemoglobin.

Crime Scene (second visit)

  • Enter the house.
  • There is one piece of evidence in the bathroom.
  • Click the bathroom cabinet and pick up the bottle of pills on the second shelf from the top.
  • Open your smartphone and read the message from Catherine.

Lina Perez's house

  • Talk to Lina Perez and ask her about the oxycodone.
  • Click her once to start the conversation. After finishing the first conversation, select the oxycodone bottle from your evidence collection and drag it over to her to start the second part of the dialogue.
  • Open your smartphone and read the message from Brass.

Hospital

  • Enter the patient room on the left.
  • Talk to Natalie Perez.
  • Back in the corridor, enter the doctor's office on the right.
  • Talk to the doctor.
  • Find Natalie's patient report.
  • Click the paper tray on the left.
  • Ask the doctor about Natalie's patient report.
  • Click the computer and follow the instructions given by the doctor.

Solving the Case

  • Open your smartphone and click on the attachment to open the ending report. After correctly answering the questions, you will be automatically transferred to the interrogation room.
  • Question 1: Clue "Ignitable liquids in puddle sample."
  • Question 2: Clue "Carboxyhemoglobin normal."
  • Question 3: Clue "Victim's blood contains oxycodone."
  • Question 4: Clue "Natalie Perez has oxycodone in her blood."

Interrogation Room

  • Click on Natalie and finish the dialogues.
